stanker design started in paris in 2003 in the basement of graphic designer françois royer, when he combined an old oil barrel with the wheels of a shopping cart. since then, royer has been designing tables, chairs, barbecues, shelves and lights made from discarded oil drums. based on a philosophy of recycling and the economic use of materials and production methods, royer's work tries to maintain the aesthetics of an object while still being kind to the environment
