harmonia 57 by triptyque

ocated in the west side of são paulo, harmonia 57 is a residential project by france’s triptyque architects. the building is unique because it breaths, sweats and modifies itself very much like a living organism. most noticeably the home’s face is covered in small holes filled with vegetation. a special irrigation system is installed on the house to water the plant’s in the hot brazilian climate. the water flows through he wall and is perpetually recycled. the front face also has massive louvered doors which open up the windows or shade it from the sun. much like paris’ pompidou centre, the building’s infrastructure is all on the outside and in this case, painted neon green. the building’s volume is divided into two towers which are connected with metal bridges
